Haltcliffe Avon
Avon was purchased privately from the Haltcliffe herd of Matt and Craig Ridley. She is a very muscular cow and has great breed characteristics and has turned out to be a very consistent breeding cow. She is the dam of Claragh Franco who sold to the Norman pedigree herd for 24,000gns in carlisle after attaining Junior Champion. Franco's first progeny have since sold to 40,000gns. Other notable sons include Claragh Fantastic, sold for 11,500gns, Claragh Mufasa and Claragh Milo both sold for 5 figure sums as well as many other quality sons and the first daughter sold on the public market Claragh Layla sold for 18,000gns. We have recently sold another Wilodge Vantastic daughter from Avon for £12,600.
She had bred numerous show winners including Claragh Heidi, Champion at NI Junior Heifer Championship in 2013 and Claragh Lily, Junior Champion NI Pedigree Calf Fair 2015, Overall Champion NI Limousin Calf Show 2016 and Reserve Supreme Champion Limousin & Junior Interbreed Champions of Champions Balmoral 2016 as well as Junior Champion 45th Anniversary National Limousin Show 2016. Avon was crowned Best Cow family in NI Herd Competiton last year.
We have a variety of embryos frozen from Avon as well as in calf recipient heifers. We have a Wilodge Vantastic daughter from Avon for sale this year.
