We have sold 11 month old Claragh Tigerlily for a five figure sum to newly established breeder Paul O’Hare for his Valleyfarm herd. She’s sired by Ampertaine Elgin and out of the Wilodge Vantastic dam Claragh Lily. She had been a class winner and part of Champion Pairs at the NI Limousin club Rising Stars calf show in March. We would like to wish Paul the best of luck and look forward to seeing how she breeds.
We will have full sisters to Tigerlily for sale later this year as well as a full brother aimed for the autumn bull sales.
We have recently sold Claragh Rambo to Clyde family in Antrim for their pedigree herd.. His dam is the Wilodge Vantastic bred Claragh Lily, and is sired by Ronick Hawk. LIly is full sister to Claragh Franco whose progeny have sold to 40,000 and Lily herself was Reserve Champion and Junior Interbreed Champion Balmoral 2016.We would like to wish the Clyde family all the best with their purchase and look forward to hearing how Rambo breeds.
We have recently sold the 11 month old heifer Claragh Pippa to England for £7,000. She was the first heifer born off Ampertaine Majestic and out of the Cerberus dam Claragh Heidi whose previous daughters have sold to £9,000.

13 month old Claragh Oprah, sired by Goldies Comet has been sold for a substantial sum to repeat customer Steve Gilleard for his Thorninghurst herd in York. This follows on from Steves purchase of Cerberus daughter Claragh Orchid in summer 2019. Oprah is a very muscular daughter out of the Wildoge Cerberus daughter Claragh Heidi. We would like to wish Steve the best of luck with his purchase and look forward to hearing how she breeds.
10 month old heifer Claragh Oracle has sold to Southern Ireland to Treanor brothers for their Clontown herd. She is aided by Wilodge Vantastic and out of the sympa dam Haltcliffe Avon making her a full sister to 24,000 Franco and 18,000 Layla and other high priced progeny. We would like to wish them the best of look with their purchase. We have two other heifers from the same cow family aimed for Red Ladies this December
At the Carlisle Spring Show & Sale of bulls February'19 we had one young bull forward for sale.Claragh Ninja born August 2018, sired by the easy calving Ampertaine Jamboree and out of the ex show heifer Claragh Lily who is by Wilodge Vantastic. Ninja went on to sell for 6,000gns to Andrew Burnett for his Spitalton herd in Scotland. We wish him all the best with his purchase
We had two heifer forward for the Show and Sale of Red Ladies in Carlisle in December. The heifers, Nina by Ampertaine Jamboree out of Claragh Lily and Nina by Truman Jagger out of Avon, averaged 4,850gns with Nina fetching 7,000gns. We wish their new owners the best of luck and look forward to seeing how they breed.
3 month old heifer Claragh Minnie sired by Cloughhead Lord and out of the sympa dam Haltcliffe Avon has sold for a substantial sum in a private deal to breeders Lee and Tabatha White for their Ladybowers Herd. We wish them all the best with their purchase and look forward to hearing how she does.
Claragh Milo has been sold in a private for a 5 figure sum to renowned show calf breeders Bowen and Bowen Partnership in Wales. 17 and half months old sired by Ampertaine Gigolo and out of the Sympa Dam Haltcliffe Avon. He is one of the most extreme muscled bulls we have bred, he is full of meat and has an extremely wide square back end. He is a full brother to Claragh Mufasa sold for five figure sum to Hunters Hall and Broadhead herds, and is maternal brother to 24,000 Franco who has bred progeny to 38,000gns, and also maternal sister to 18,000 Layla and other high priced animals from this family.

We had one bull forward for sale at the Autumn Show and Sale of Limousin Bulls at Carlisle. Maverick was sired by Sympa out of Sarkley Sebastian cow Aghadolgan Bueno. He is full brother to Claragh Domino who was a first prize winner and sold for 10,000gns Carlisle May 2010. Maverick sold for 7,000gns to the Monkeypuzzle herd in Scotland and we wish them all the best with their new purchase.
Claragh Mufasa, sired by Ampertaine Gigolo and out of Sympa Dam Haltcliffe Avon, making him half brother to 24,000 Claragh Franco and 18,000 Claragh Layla, has been sold as 11 month old calf in private deal for 5 figure sum to Hunters Hall and Broadhead herds as future joint sire. Mufasa was a twin and excels in muscle and width for his age. We like to wish the Nixon and Turner families the best of luck with their new purchase and look forward to hearing how he breeds.
On Friday 6th May in Borderway Mart Carlisle, We had a draft of 5 heifers and 3 recipients forward for sale in in what was our first female production sale. As a result of a lot of embryo work and a large run of heifers born over the past 2 years we are in a position to offer for sale females from the heart of our best cow families, that have bred show winners and successful priced animals at home and at sales. This sale was along with the Goldies, Haltcliffe, Gunnerfleet and Lodge herds, Our first heifer in the ring Claragh Layla was the joint top price of the sale at 18,000gns selling to Gareth Small, Kilkeel County Down. Layla is sired by Vantastic and out of the Sympa dam Haltcliffe Avon making her full sister to 24,000gns Franco, and Lily who was Overall Reserve Supreme Limousin Champion and Junior Interbreed Champion at Balmoral last week. Our batch of 5 heifers had the top average of the sale at £7,182, and three recipients carrying embryos averaged £3,010.

June has been a good month despite the poor weather with two young bulls being sold on farm. First one to be sold and exported to Devon was Claragh Jackpot. A 14 month old Ampertaine Elgin son out of Haltcliffe Avon. He heads to the Highridge herd of GN & LV Dunn. The second young bull, Claragh JR, another Elgin son, heads to suckler farmer Vincent O Connor in Fermanagh.

We have sold Claragh Ione off the farm for further breeding to southern Ireland to the Ernevalley herd of Eddie Lynch, Co. Cavan . This promising young heifer by Broadmeadows Cannon out of best cow Haltlcliffe Avon by Sympa. Ione is maternal sister to Claragh Fantastic, 12,000gns and Claragh Franco 24,000gns, whose first progeny have sold up to 22,000gns. We hope that Ione will go on the make a tremendous brood cow and wish her purchasers the best of the luck with her.
Inferno has been sold privately. He was born April 2013 and is sired by the renowned show calf breeder Ampertaine Valhalla (rocky x umar). Inferno is the First and only son by Ampertaine Valhalla. Valhalla is a consistent breeder of show cattle having bred numerous show calves including commercial heifers to £4,000, Valhalla has also bred double Ulster Housewifes Champions at Allams Premier fatstock show.

We have exported one of our upcoming young bulls, to Scottish show calf producer Alistair Smart, Aberdeenshire. Aged 13 months old, Istabraq is sired by the prolific Broadmeadows Cannon, and is out of the herds best cow, Haltcliffe Avon sired by Sympa, making him half brother to 24,000gns Claragh Franco. Avon is +5 for milk placing her well in the top 1% of the breed.
He has tremendous length, width and a great top and is showing very good growth rates for his age.

2014 has started off on the right foot with us selling one of the first daughters from our best breeding cow Haltcliffe Avon. Claragh Hotpants, 21 months old and is sired by Wilodge Ceberus. This makes her 3/4 brother to the 11,500gns Claragh Fantastic & the 24,000gns Claragh Franco, whose first progeny have sold to 8,800gns at 14 months old.
Two full sisters to Hotpants have been retained. One of her full sisters was NI Junior Heifer Champion 2013. Hotpants is in top 2% of the breed with 200 Day Milk of +4 and her dam Avon is the top 1% for 200 Day milk. She sells to the Bassingbourn Herd of Mr D.F Turner in Fordham, England.

We have recently sold the 18 month old Galileo, sired by Cloughhead Umpire out of a Homebyres Visitor heifer, Claragh Evita. The granddam is out of the powerful muscular cow Glenisla Angle (photos in the females page), who was Reserve Female Champion in Roscrea when purchased as a heifer.

Gizmo was sold for £4,200 at The British Limousin Cattle Society’s Autumn Show & Sale of Limousin Bulls held at Borderway Mart, Carlisle on the 18th October 2012 to Wales after attaining second in his class in the pre sale show. He has a big backend, great width of top-line and has tremendous depth of hindquarter.
He is a full brother to Claragh Franco, who was Junior Champion Carlisle May 2011 and sold for 24,000gns to Norman Pedigree Herd, Gizmo is also full brother to Claragh Fantastic who sold for 11,500gns Carlisle May 2011.
Gizmo is placed within the top 1% of the breed for 200 and 400 day growth and with a beef value of LM38 which is just outside top 1%.

Gustav is a big powerful, long and well balanced bull sold for £3,600 to pedigree breeders Messrs Sedgwick for their Gallaber herd

Gustav excels in growth, with a 200 & 400 day growth well inside the top 1% of the breed and a beef value of LM41, places him firmly in the top 1%.

Fantastic is hard natural muscled bull with a big backend, great width of top-line and has tremendous depth of hindquarter.
Sired by the prolific Vantastic and out of Haltcliffe Avon this bull has the package of great breeding him and visual appearance to go with it.
Fantastic was 2nd in a very strong class to the Reserve Junior Champion, and went on to sell for 11,500gns to JF Teague, Temple House, Buteland Farm, Balerno, Edinburgh, for their Teague Prefix.

Claragh Domino was our first bull sold at public auction.
Domino won his class at The British Limousin Cattle Society’s Spring Show & Sale of Limousin Bulls held at Borderway Mart, Carlisle on the 9th May 2010 and went on to sell for 10,000gns to Witon Farms Angus
He had a beef value of LM+36 placing just outside the top 1% of the breed.

We achieved Overall Supreme Champion at Red Ladies Derby Show and Sale of females at Carlisle with our Sauvignon bred heifer Davina. Davina is out of Ashmara Angelina and her pedigree goes back to the famous Greensons Gigolo.
On her way to being placed Reserve champion under the eye of Pre-sale judge Mrs Vicky Maynard of the Columbpark Herd, Caseberry Farm, Bradninch, Exeter, Davina had won her class as well being part of the regional winning team of heifers from N. Ireland. She later went on to sell for 10,000gns to Smiths of Bloxham for their Ironstone herd.
