On Friday 6th May we had a draft of females forward for sale in Carlisle Borderway mart in which was our first Female Production sale. This sale was along with the Goldies, Haltcliffe, Gunnerfleet and Lodge herds, Our first heifer in the ring Claragh Layla was the joint top price of the sale at 18,000gns selling to Gareth Small, Kilkeel County Down. Layla is sired by Vantastic and out of the Sympa dam Haltcliffe Avon making her full sister to 24,000gns Franco, and Lily who Reserve Supreme Champion and Junior Interbreed Champion at Balmoral last week. Our batch of 5 heifers had the top average of the sale at £7,182, and three recipients carrying embryos averaged £3,010. We would like all purchasers the best of luck with their new purchases.
